The Domino’s Farms MEND Clinic is looking for a Patient Services Intermediate to join our team and serve as the Clinic Coordinator for our new Post-COVID Clinic. This multidisciplinary clinic allows Michigan Medicine the opportunity to provide specialized, collaborative care to patients who have had COVID in the past and are still effected by complications. This individual will be the main point of contact for patients and will assist patients throughout their care in the Post-COVID program. This individual will also be the main contact for both patients and physicians in the program when it comes to their schedules or other related needs. While the primary responsibility of this role will be supporting the Post-COVID Clinic, other duties may be assigned for the DF MEND Clinic as time allows.
Responsibilities for the Post Covid Clinic: Review new patient referrals
Responsibilities for the MEND Clinic (when applicable):
High School Diploma or GED. 3 – 4 years of experience. Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Prior experience performing complex scheduling. Familiarity with obtaining medical records. Familiarity with professional medical billing. Financial counseling experience for healthcare patients. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team setting. Communicates effectively. Demonstrates active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills. Experience working within a large, complex health care setting.
Familiarity with UMHS electronic medical record systems.
Knowledge of University policies and procedures. Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
