The Revenue Cycle Manager manages the functions of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology Dental Faculty Practice (OMFSDFP) revenue cycle activities to maximize cash flow while maintaining and improving internal and external customer relations. In addition, this role is responsible for day-to-day financial issues of the faculty practice including contract arrangement, procurement, asset management, financial reporting and analysis and coordination of financial activities with the College of Dentistry. This position is responsible for leading a team of medical records coding specialists in fulfilling the goals of the operations. This position reports to the chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology and indirectly reports to the Director of the Dental Faculty Practice.
Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this position is subject to indoor environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work as well as reviewing documents both in hard copy and electronic formats. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Four years of experience and demonstrated advanced knowledge of coding medical billing including CPT and ICD-10 coding. Knowledge of professional fee billing, reimbursement, third party payer regulations and Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations. Two to three years supervisory experience; strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, the ability to make timely decisions, and have exceptional customer service skills. Prior experience handling A/R accounts.
4-8 years of experience of coding medical and dental billing including CDT, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Target Salary: $57,000.00 - $67,000.00 Annually
