We are seeking an Application Support Analyst who can ensure a smooth and effective operation of applications and 24/7 availability of the systems through careful monitoring of infrastructure, production processes, automating procedures where possible via scripting, and performing Permit to Operate on each application release. Install, configure and administration of Oracle BPM, Oracle WebLogic Application Server, WebLogic Portal, WebLogic workshop in various environments, Apache, Tomcat and OES and Siteminder. Analysis of existing system and user needs and implementation of newly developed systems.
L2 Support is responsible for day to day support of CT environments infrastructure products including the production, test and DR environments. Works with the development and other support teams to provide design guidelines and imparts knowledge on technical trends and solutions. The candidate will Instrument end to end monitoring of the CT infrastructure, ensuring high availability of the environment and timely alerting of any potential issues. Ensures infrastructures have adequate capacity and are refreshed on a periodic basis. Develops and maintains system documentation, run-books and production metrics reporting. Work effectively within the CT team to identify and resolve issues. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels.
Provide 2nd Level support for in-house applications.
Provide Off-Hours support, as needed, to resolve system problems during non-business hours or backlogs.
Ensure the support team performs daily health checks of the applications, scripts, and infrastructure.
Installing, configuring and administering application servers, including Abinitio, Oracle BPM 10.x, WebLogic Server 10.x, WebLogic portal 10.x, WebSphere, Tomcat, SiteMinder on Red hat Linux
Setting up and configuring WebLogic plug-ins for Apache web server, iPlanet, IBM HTTP server, Janus and FAST
providing a unified security infrastructure to distributed applications using Oracle Entitlements Server (OES 10.x);
Implementing business processes using Oracle BPM 10.x;
Setting up interconnections to external interfaces including Java, Mail server, RDBMS and web services; and
Securing web applications with https protocols by configuring SSL certificates 91-way and 2-way) using Open ssl and Java Keytool for single domain and multi domain. Less than 50% travel may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and globally.
Provide leadership and daily support in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain good relationships with lines of business. Ensure communication is customer focused and professional.
Ensure timely monitoring and resolving of HPSM tickets.
Works with team to develop scripts to automate repeatable manual tasks.
Troubleshoot and resolve application or infrastructure issues. This requires detailed knowledge of multiple systems, as well as an in-depth understanding of the functionality for these systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical or business area.
5 years of experience overall, with at least 2 years of experience working in an applications production support/application development environment
Must have 5 Years of Java scripting and Geneos configuration experience in UNIX environment.
Familiarity with implementation of DevOps.
Familiarity with Risk applications.
Proven track record of mid-level to senior L2 Production Support, implementation and system management experience required, Unix shell and Java scripting is required
