As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You ' ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You ' ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what ' s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you ' ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
Use appropriate modelling techniques to predict customer lifecycle events, such as conversion, loyalty, churn etc
Work with a variety of datasets including raw data collected from consumer experiences (1st party) and consumer attributes (3rd party)
Identify and investigate new modelling techniques that bring clear added value to our systems
Use appropriate modelling techniques to identify audience segments that can be used to target digital marketing more effectively.
Use appropriate modelling techniques to create new user attributes and features that provide additional features for predictive models and for analysis
Work alongside engineers to productionise new models.
Work alongside QA and Test engineers to develop best practices for data quality assessment measures.
Play an active role in refining the product direction with a particular focus on opportunities for predictive modelling.
Apply a lean approach to development, ensuring the correctness of methodologies balanced against a pragmatic approach to delivering value in a timely fashion.
Be able to explain the detail of predictive models and the approach taken to product stakeholders
Work closely with other Data Scientists to develop new approaches and ensure a collaborative approach to model building
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Good understanding of mathematics and statistics
Good understanding of algorithms and data-structures
Proficiency in Python and associated data-science eco-system
Familiarity with Java and its associated eco-system
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
