As a senior leader in Enterprise Management and Monitoring Services (EMMS) organization, you'll be the visionary responsible for developing the roadmap and architecture for the core functions the team provides for all services globally. Your expertise in infrastructure technology, architecture design, monitoring and performance monitoring, will be essential in being successful in this role.
This is a highly technical role and will help design and engineer a series of solutions for the EMMS team inside Global Technology. The ideal candidate is a hands-on-technologist with significant experience in architecture and engineering modern infrastructure platforms and services. We are looking for someone who understands the end to end stack of what it takes to run and monitor applications and services both on premises as well as in external cloud platforms.
The qualified candidate will have overall responsibility for determining and driving the strategy and architectural approaches for Infrastructure Monitoring, Scheduling, Application Performance Monitoring and Capacity Management across JPMC globally. Key responsibilities include:
Drive the evolution of GTI monitoring services from a historical, Infrastructure Focused approach to a best in class, Service and Application focused approach based upon observability.
Understand the roadmaps of our internal customers and ensure that the EMMS strategy aligns with their goals.
Develop an Architecture that can support increasingly ephemeral devices across a truly hybrid environment.
Define and drive Architectural best-practices across EMMS - ownership of Architectural governance.
Champion and drive "Everything as code" - ie all services must be programmatically configurable and ready to plug into customers Continuous Integration pipelines.
Own the Development approach for EMMS, ensuring consistency with the direction of JPMC Chief Development Office.
Drive maturity of EMMS Continuous Integration (CI) approach.
Accountability for Architectural Resiliency of all EMMS services - owner of program to enhance EMMS Services resiliency in conjunction with JPMC resiliency program.
Hands-on experience with strong understanding of infrastructure (operating systems, web, middleware, and networking)
Proven delivery of both infrastructure Architecture and Engineering/ implementation of the desired state architecture
Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Significant experience in both Systems Engineering and Software development
Experience using system and software security and entitlements such as SSO, windows, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD
Experience with new and emerging technologies such as cloud and virtualization, and knowledge of Cloud providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform services etc.
Bachelors or higher level degree in Computer science or related disciplines
Experience with the implementation / integration of tools like Data dog/Splunk/Nifi/Kafka and experience of distributed / large scale systems and designing for scalability.
Experience in working with Restful API design and development, JSON, and software design patterns.
Experience with working in a Dev Ops team.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies TDD (Test Driven Development) and CI/CD (Continuous integration & deployment), Sprint Planning/Grooming, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Familiar with CICD tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git/BitBucket, etc.
