Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance for ColumbiaDoctors, in the first 2 years this position will serve as the FPO's primary representative various FPO EPIC committees. ColumbiaDoctors is in the process of transitioning to a new Electronic Medical Record and Revenue Cycle System (EPIC), this position will be instrumental in achieving success during the design, build, test, and implementation stages of the project. The position is part of a larger team and is expected to provide strong leadership and bring problem solving skills during the transition.
After EPIC implementation is completed, this position will focus on process improvement, reengineering, optimization as well as overall financial analysis. We are looking for a self- starter, with strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a team environment. This person must be able to work well in a matrix environment and be flexible as the position evolves.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus seven years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required - Minimum of 7 years' experience in a managerial or executive leadership role, with recent experience and emphasis in Healthcare finance, accounting and/or revenue cycle management required - Prior experience within Physician and Surgeons or the FPO is preferred - Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Healthcare reimbursement/collections, medical billing, coding, financial reporting and management, with a strong knowledge of the collections process and accounts receivable management - Excel software & PeopleSoft accounting software knowledge and experience strongly preferred - Strong general business and financial analysis abilities - Proven leadership skills overseeing diverse teams and employees - Superior communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate via email, reports, presentations, financial analysis, business correspondence and process materials - Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high degree of drive, initiative and follow through. - Ability to work independently with high productivity and regularly meet deadlines - Strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple priorities of highly detailed information - Experience with EPIC Revenue Cycle preferred. - Demonstrated ability to manage up and across the organizational structure - Strong executive presence
Preferred Qualifications: MBA or Masters in Accounting or Finance preferred
