Under general supervision of the Medical Billing Manager, this position acts as a health center cashier for pharmacy and medical services. This position is responsible for helping students understand how to pay for services by telephone or in person.
Financial responsibilities consists of processing bursar payments, fee-for-services, and student insurance/health fee invoices in an Electronic health record system. Creates reports to reconcile daily credit card and cash register transactions with Point and Click (PNC). Prepare daily deposits. Maintain workable petty cash fund. Must be able to understand, interpret and apply university policies relating to transaction processing.
Essential Employee This position is considered an Essential Employees; those needed on campus to meet the needs of students, research programs, or general operations when the university is in reduced operating status or closed.
Employees are required to report misses and near misses immediately to supervisor and via occurrence report.

Must have excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with a broad range of people. Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical in this interruption-driven environment.
Able to work quickly and use judgment in accomplishing tasks that are confidential in nature.
Ability to provide a consistent professional, courteous service to customers in fast-paced office setting.
Experience working in a health care facility preferred.
